Love to know more about my family... I know Ferdinand Birr was a bodyguard for Ferdinand William III and married Caroline (Stecker?) an orphan of nobility and a rich feudal lord born in 1820. and that they lived in Slupsk(Stolpe) into the mid 1800’s and then moved to Wisconsin in the U.S. but I don’t know if the Birrs migrated to Poland from Ukraine or what their history is beyond this or who Caroline’s real parents are... Always been fascinated with who my dad’s family was. Always thought Birr was German but that seems unlikely from what I know now. Any leads?
